It's Ski Heritage Week in Sun Valley, but don't let stuffy ceremonies and reminiscing of ski days gone by dim the idea of a celebration. Get ready to party on Thursday, March 31, at the K2 Barrymore Freedogger Party, "Let the Good Times Roll," at Whiskey Jacques' in Ketchum with a cheeseburger contest for men and a T-shirt contest for women at 7:30 p.m.

A $10 entry will include two raffle tickets with a chance to win a pair of K2 skis and other prizes. In addition, the evening will feature ski movies, beer pong tournament and music. Signups for the contests, which will have three age divisions, will close at 8 p.m. today, March 30. The party at Whiskey's on Thursday will begin at 6 p.m. In addition, the evening will have prizes for best costume, with 1970s attire encouraged.

Continuing "Let the Good Times Roll" party theme, Apple's will have an après-ski street party on Friday, April 1, from 3-7:30 p.m. with live music, a Hot Doggers tent and more raffle prizes to give away. Raffle tickets are $5 and include prizes from K2, Smith, Scott and Eddie Bauer. Proceeds will benefit the Bald Mountain Rescue Fund.

For ski movie lovers, enjoy a week of nonstop ski films from the 1930s through 2011, screened at the Sun Valley Opera House.
