James Anthony Nelson, 42, of Hailey, died March 19, 2011, at St. Luke's Regional Medical Center in Boise.
James was born July 18, 1968, in Hailey. He graduated from Wood River High School in 1986, then attended College of Southern Idaho and Boise State University. He worked many years for Uhrig Fencing. The last few years he was with the Blaine County Recreation District. Above all else, he loved his family and baseball. He married Bunny Darland on April 16, 1994.
James was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Nelson.
He is survived by his wife, Bunny Nelson; sons, Andrew and Zachary of Hailey; brothers, Mike Nelson (Diane) of Boise, Harold Nelson (Tami) of Hailey, David Nelson (Chris) of Hailey and Paul Nelson (Leslie) of Boise; sisters, Rosalie Little (Dick) of Nampa, Marcia Anderson (Fred) of Bellevue, Janice Cenarrusa (Jerry) of Carey and Elaina Miller (Rex) of Loman; his mother, Marian Nelson; and his grandmother, Anna Beltran. James is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
There will be a special bank account for the boys' college fund at DL Evans Bank, 12 E. Bullion St., Hailey, Idaho.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 26, at St. Charles Catholic Church in Hailey. Luncheon to follow at the Community Campus gym.
