Police in southern Idaho are searching for a Rexburg man who apparently was seen in Carey on the day he went missing.

According to police reports, Grant Moedl, 57, was traveling on business Wednesday, March 2, from Rexburg to Boise but failed to show up at his destination.

Blaine County Chief Deputy Ed Fuller said Monday that Moedl stopped at Castle's Corner convenience store in Carey last Wednesday afternoon but that authorities have no reason to believe that he remained in Blaine County.

"Really, we don't have much on it," Fuller said. "We've been asked to search in keeping an eye out for him."

Moedl is described by the Madison County Sheriff's Office as 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds. He was driving a silver 2008 Subaru Outback with license number 1T 194.

Anyone with information on Moedl's possible whereabouts is asked to contact the Madison County Sheriff's Office at (208) 356-5426.
