Ketchum accountant Greg Peterson has been appointed to the board of the nonprofit Croy Canyon Ranch Foundation.

The foundation plans to build a senior living facility west of Hailey to replace the Blaine Manor nursing home in Hailey.

Peterson, a partner in the accounting firm Lallman, Felton, Peterson and Pierce, was chosen during the foundation's board meeting on Feb. 17.

"He has a wealth of experience with local organizations," said board President Jeanne Cassell.

Peterson served on the board of the Ketchum-Sun Valley Chamber & Visitors Bureau for 24 years, and is a current member of the Sun Valley Summer Symphony board and the Ketchum Rotary.

Peterson will fill the vacancy left by former Assistant Treasurer Bill Bozzuto, who will in turn become treasurer, filling the spot left by Greg Cappel.

Cappel was injured in a car accident at Timmerman Junction in October. Cassell said Cappel would remain on the board, though not as an officer, giving him time to recover from the accident.

"We wish him the best as he regains his health," Cassell said.

The foundation continues to raise the $13 million required to partially fund construction of Croy Canyon Ranch, which has an expected opening date of early 2014.
