By TONY EVANS

Hailey saw a slight increase in local-option-tax revenues in December 2010, compared to December 2009. The city's portion jumped from $21,768 to $22,228, due to an increase in revenue from taxes on lodging and rental cars.

Yet, the visitors to Hailey may have been dining outside of the town, or the locals decided to eat at home. Hailey received $9,843 in LOT collections from lodging and car rentals in December 2009 compared to $10,288 in December 2010, but revenue from bars and restaurants dropped from $12,385 in 2009 to $11,480 in 2010.

Hailey took in $1,546,692 in LOT revenue in 2010. That figure represents 7 percent of the city's general fund revenue.
