112 racers in Wednesday’s Town Series

On Cozy ski run


     Wednesday’s Town Series dual modified giant slalom Week 3 races on Baldy’s Cozy run attracted 112 racers and reduced the number of 0.00 teams from six to three. There are 31 teams in the series.

     Left with 0.00 scores in the 20th annual team racing series were Casino Dancing Bears, Pulling Out is for Quitters and Scums of the Pioneers. Right behind is Tekasoreasses (0.07) with The Plum Recovery and Reinvestment Act in fifth (0.32).

     Best single runs came from the following racers on the day:

     1—Carl Rixon Jr. (Tekasoreasses) 25.42 seconds. 2—Matt Murphy (Tekosoreasses) 26.32. 3—Cameron Fraser (Scums) 26.66. 4—Bill Campbell (Probably Chicked) 26.70. 5—Nate Schwing (SVSEF) 26.77.

     6—Jan Hegewald (Flat Out) 26.98. 7—Brett Jacobson (Pulling Out) 27.03. 8—John Campbell (Ski Tek) 27.23. 9—John Summers (Schwag Magnets) 27.32. 10—John Lee (Glow Power) 27.47. 12—Erika Hogan (SVSEF) 27.86.

     Closest to the 33.21 rabbit score were Paige Griffith of Casino (33.19) and Jeff Page of Scott USA (33.24).

     Next week’s races are best combined two runs, with the afternoon party at Cellar Pub in Ketchum. Then the series takes a week break and resumes March 2 on Baldy.
