Save the date for Family of Women Film Festival

The fourth annual Family of Women Film Festival will take place Friday, Feb. 18, through Sunday, Feb. 20, at the nexStage Theatre in Ketchum. Films will include documentaries from Turkey, India and Iran, and there will be a day of films and panelists on the subject of women and the environment.

The Family of Women Film Festival promotes the work of the United Nations Population Fund, which provides women's health care and promotes the rights of women in 150 countries. For details, visit www.americansforunfpa.org.

Save the date for joint auditions

Company of Fools, Saint Thomas Playhouse and nexStage Theatre will hold joint auditions Tuesday, Feb. 22, at the Liberty Theatre in Hailey. These will be general auditions and not for specific shows. Auditions are by appointment only from 4-6 p.m.

The theatre organizations seek actors and actresses ages 16 and over. Those auditioning are asked to bring a prepared monologue, contemporary and no more than two minutes in length, or they may read from scripts provided at the audition. Those who would like to be considered for musicals should also prepare a song.

Arts Commission calls for artists

The city of Ketchum seeks diverse regional artists to submit outdoor, public sculpture suitable for long-term, four-month installation in public spaces along the Fourth Street Heritage Corridor in downtown Ketchum. The city will accept and install six to ten artworks. Ketchum is looking for art, both representational and abstract, that celebrates the city's identity as a historically significant, culturally rich and vibrant community.

Applications will be accepted at jsmith@ketchumidaho.org. The deadline for submissions is March 11. Artworks will be on display from June through October 21. For details, visit www.ketchumidaho.org or call 726-7820.
