Caritas Chorale has been busy in 2010 preparing to present a show of music by George Frideric Handel. Seventy choir members and a 35-piece orchestra will perform Handel's "Four Coronation Anthems" on Saturday, Jan. 29, and Sunday, Jan. 30, at the Presbyterian Church of the Big Wood in Ketchum. Both shows start at 3:30 p.m. The performances are free but donations are appreciated.

Handle wrote the "Four Coronation Anthems" for the coronation of King George II. The music was performed at Westminster Abbey and has been used for every coronation since.

Under the artistic direction of Dick Brown, Caritas Chorale is a dedicated group of singers of men and women who love a musical challenge. Choir members include high school students on up. Many singers have been in choirs throughout their lives.

The choir performs throughout the year with music ranging from Broadway show tunes and hymns to powerful classical arrangements. For details, call 622-8874.
