This week, several artists are making their way to the valley for live music shows, comedy and other entertainment events. The Hugh Pool Band returns to Sun Valley to present a rocking evening of music with special guest Paul Tillotson on Friday, Jan. 21, and Saturday, Jan. 22, at 10 p.m. in the Sun Valley Resort Boiler Room. Tickets are $10 at the door. Doors will open at 9:30 p.m.

Pool comes via New York City, specifically Williamsburg in Brooklyn, and is a firey and impressive guitar player. In addition, Pool and his band have tremendous stage presence, converting the Boiler Room into a sultry Manhattan live band music show.

Pool has played with Patti Smith, Government Mule, Leslie West, Johnny Winter, Dave Edmunds, John Mayall and The Fabulous Thunderbirds. He has performed on the Emeril Lagassi Show, The Mitch Albom Show and Late Night With Conan O'Brien. His original songs have been used for network televison, movies and award-winning documentaries, as well as in an off-Broadway play. When not playing, Pool performs, writes or twiddles the knobs on the big board at his Brooklyn studio. At Excello Recording, Pool has worked with talented people such as Debbie Harry, Kiki & Herb, Michael Brecker, Radio 4, Joseph Arthur, Larry Campbell and Tony Garnier.
