The Blaine County School District board of trustees has scheduled its next town hall meeting for April 4.

The meeting date was announced at Tuesday's school board meeting, but particulars have yet to be decided.

"We have not picked a topic," said board Chair Julie Dahlgren. However, she said, the board is leaning toward a public discussion about what constitutes a good education. The topic was briefly discussed at the school board's first town hall meeting on Nov. 9, when the meeting's subject was improved communications with the public.

About 80 district employees, parents, students and patrons attended the first meeting, held at the Community Campus in Hailey.

District Superintendent Lonnie Barber suggested at Tuesday's board meeting that an alternative topic might be the district's Dual Immersion program, where students are instructed both in English and Spanish.
