The Ketchum Community Development Corp. is sponsoring a three-day working conference on Jan. 21-23 to find a common vision for a "vibrant and sustainable community." The number of participants will total 64, representing eight stakeholder groups from the Wood River Valley. The process is called "future search" and is professionally facilitated. The conference is designed to access a community's history, explore possible visions for the future and create action plans for moving forward.
"By getting into a room together and discovering the passions, experience and commitment our community members have to offer, we will find the ways to stimulate our economy in a positive direction," said Dale Bates, CDC board member and driver behind the initiative.
This event is the first step in a results-oriented process that ideally leads to developing a vibrant, sustainable, and resilient community. This event is by invitation only, but the CDC will host an open house on March 3, inviting the entire community to build upon and join in implementing the results of the future search.
