Andy Jones-Wilkins, head of school at the private Community School in Sun Valley, confirmed this week that he has accepted a new job in Charlottesville, Va.

Jones-Wilkins begins the job as head of school at Tandem Friends School in July. He will continue as head of school at the Community School through senior graduation in early June.

Jones-Wilkins announced his resignation in July, but at that time had no immediate plans for new employment. This is his fifth year as top administrator at the Community School.

David Holmes, executive director of the Lee Pesky Learning Center, headquartered in Boise and with offices in Caldwell, Hailey and Ketchum, was named the new head of school for the Community School in early November. His appointment becomes effective July 1.

"I'm excited about the move to Charlottesville and so is my family," Jones-Wilkins said in a brief statement Tuesday.
