Quilts Are Goodness Gracious

Courtesy photo Members of the Quilting Goodness Philanthropy Group, from left, Jane Acomb, Margie Gould, Jane Ulrich, Maren Fuller, Rose Rumball-Petre and Janet Houts, exhibit a quilt handcrafted for a wounded veteran with a severe traumatic brain injury and who attended a Sun Valley Adaptive Sports Higher Ground fly-fishing camp. Since the Higher Ground camp, the veteran had to return to the hospital for mental health treatment. Three quilts have been handcrafted for wounded veterans in conjunction with Higher Ground’s “care team program.” Eighteen women belong to the Quilting Goodness group at the Fabric Granary in Hailey, which meets the third Thursday of each month. The group also makes quilts for The Advocates.
