I have recently joined the board of the Croy Canyon Ranch Foundation because I believe the plan to build a continuing-care retirement community is a very worthy cause. Both the board and the campaign cabinet are comprised of good people with dedication and the ability to make this project succeed.
Our community is a great place to raise a family and offers a wonderfully healthy lifestyle for most ages. However, we are not able to take care of our senior population, which is a vital segment of any community. My in-laws lived in the valley for 34 years but had to move to another state because there were no local facilities that provided the appropriate level of care they needed. A three-tiered continuum-of-care community would fulfill all of the needs of our seniors and enable them to stay in the valley they love.
As we continue with our capital campaign to raise the necessary philanthropy to make this project a reality, I encourage everyone to learn more about Croy Canyon Ranch and its mission to provide excellent, attractive and dignified eldercare for the people of the Wood River region. It is so important for the future of our community.
