Itís A Hollywood True Story

Photo by Kirsten Shultz In 1939, Hollywood was abuzz when legendary producer David O. Selznick decided to shut down the production of “Gone With the Wind” to rewrite the film’s script. Selznick used his prowess as a big-time studio producer to gather a team to bang out the script for five days behind closed doors. Ron Hutchinson’s “Moonlight and Magnolias” tells the story of this Hollywood moment in time, which the Company of Fools will present from Tuesday, Dec. 14, through Friday, Dec. 31. From left, Andrew Alburger as Victor Fleming, Scott Creighton as Ben Hecht, and Ed Kershen as David O. Selznick are the men who got the job done.
