A fashion show on Friday, Dec. 3, and the annual Festival of Trees Gala on Saturday were sold-out successes, according to Kim Coonis, executive director of the Senior Connection in Hailey.

Friday's luncheon with a fashion show hosted by the Panache store attracted some 80 women. Then, about 150 people attended Saturday's dinner, at which, Coonis said, "all the Christmas trees sold for more money than ever before."

The annual Festival of Trees raises money for the Senior Connection, which offers numerous programs to Wood River Valley senior citizens. More than $50,000 was raised in two days, all of which will be used to support the Senior Connection's Meals On Wheels and Vital Transportation programs.

"This was the best Festival of Trees event ever," Coonis said. "It was just shoulder-to-shoulder crazy fun where the drinks were flowing, the food was awesome and the dancing was wonderful."
