The Environmental Resource Center and The Elephant's Perch will present the eighth annual Wild and Scenic Environmental Film Festival on Friday, Nov. 5, at 6 p.m. at the nexStage Theatre in Ketchum. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids for ERC members and $15 for adults and $10 for kids for nonmembers and will be available at the door.

The film festival is a fundraiser and membership drive for the ERC, which will have special discount memberships available at the festival. < "I'm very proud of the film selections," said Kellie Rey, event organizer. "I wanted it to be locally appropriate."

Rey said the festival is meant to inspire people to make changes and become active.

The festival will include the Emmy Award-winning film "Split Estate," which reveals how landowners do not own mineral rights on their property.

"This could happen in Idaho," Rey said. "Most people do not know anything about this."

Other films include "Flathead Wild" and a film by the Wood River High School Environmental Club on idling. In addition other films to screen are "The Fun Theory: Piano Stairs," "Generations: A Perspective on Climate Change," "The Fun Theory: Bottle Bank Arcade," "Elements of Food," "Get Up, Stand Up" and "Lady Bug Swarm."
