As the top-hand governor candidate, Keith Allred is neither all-red nor all-blue. Keith Allred is so wonderfully nonpartisan that, had he run as a Republican, I could have easily supported him. For Allred, being "non-partisan" does not mean that he is a noncommittal fence-sitter who hides from conflict. Allred tackles issues with intelligence and enthusiasm. He solves problems with research and public input. He has repeatedly demonstrated his amazing talent for bringing divergent interests to a workable consensus.
Conversely, Gov. Otter may be a practiced politician, but he is not a leader. Otter has shamelessly catered to special interests and ideologic clap-trap as he's ushered our beautiful Idaho to the brink of disaster.
A Keith Allred victory will be a happy win for all Idahoans.
