McCleary has been effective

I encourage community members to vote for Angenie McCleary for county commissioner so that she can continue her excellent work on behalf of our community.

McCleary is a good leader because she is a good listener. She works hard to hear all sides of any given issue and to build consensus. I have had the privilege of working with McCleary on a number of local boards and projects, and I am consistently impressed with her thoughtful, balanced approach to solving problems. Especially when an issue is volatile and emotions are high, McCleary demonstrates the poise and insight to focus on the core points and to steer the discussion in a productive direction. Always she is reasonable and respectful.

And she is effective. She listens and she acts. Already, she has produced great results in implementing a public transportation plan, addressing mental health and substance-abuse issues, and protecting open space.

I particularly appreciate and value McCleary's support of education, youth and multicultural issues. She takes seriously her task of representing the broad spectrum of her constituency, and she has worked steadily to build a community that is safe and nurturing for all residents.

I have great trust in McCleary's leadership and her sincere desire to serve our community well. I urge the community to vote for her in this election.
