Lexy Funk of Sun Valley is a Georgetown College (Ky.) homecoming queen candidate who will participate in halftime ceremonies of the Tigers' football game against Pikeville College on Saturday, Oct. 16. The daughter of Jim and Candy Funk is an Equine Scholar and sophomore psychology major at the small liberal arts college.
She has been volunteering in the Equine Village at the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games, which concluded Oct. 10 at nearby Kentucky Horse Park. Lexy still competes in three-day eventing and has her Welsh thoroughbred cross, Princess, stabled near campus.
Lexy graduated from Hailey's Wood River High School early in the fall of 2008, but walked with and was in the top 10 percent of her 2009 class with a 3.89 grade point average.
Kevin Michael Wade of Ketchum has a role in the Vital Theater Co.'s off-Broadway production of "Angelina Ballerina, the Musical," in New York City. He plays Angelina's father. Wade is a 2006 Community School graduate and 2010 graduate of Tisch School of the Arts at New York University.
A total of 1,446 students were eligible for graduation this past May from the University of Idaho. They included:

From Hailey: Dana Ann Christensen, bachelor's in science degree, family and consumer science; Joseph Chaddock Hickey, juris doctor; Stephen M. Frinsko, juris doctor; and John Blackman, education specialist in education leadership.
Brandon D. Briscoe has graduated from the Army ROTC (Reserve Officers' Training Corps) Leader's Training Course at Fort Knox, Ky. The cadet is a student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge. He is the son of DeWayne L. Briscoe of Sun Valley and Peggy J. Briscoe of Aspen, Colo. The cadet is a 2006 graduate of Aspen High School.
