Members of a Ketchum family injured in a traffic accident on Thursday, Oct. 7, on state Highway 75 north of Shoshone have been released from St. Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center in Twin Falls.

Hospital spokeswoman Laura Stewart said 16-year-old Jose Blanco, who was transported to St. Luke's by air ambulance from the scene of the crash, was released over the weekend. Family members Adella, Adrian, Eric and Gabriela Blanco, no ages available, were transported to the hospital by ground ambulance and were treated and released.

According to Idaho State Police, the accident occurred about 4:10 p.m. when a northbound 1997 Ford Expedition driven by Jose Blanco "for unknown reasons" crossed the center line and struck a southbound International semi driven by Shadd Bollar, 30, of Jerome. The accident occurred 1.7 miles south of the border between Blaine and Lincoln counties.

ISP reported that Bollar and Jose, Adrian and Eric Blanco were wearing seatbelts, while Adella and Gabriella Blanco were not.

ISP further reported that "alcohol does not appear to be a factor in this crash."

The accident remained under investigation this week.
