Hit & run unacceptable

When I asked my friend how she was doing today, she told me that her back was hurting her from when she got hit last week. I said, what? She told me she was crossing the crosswalk at Bullion and Main streets in Hailey when a white pickup truck with green pin-striping clipped her while she was in the crosswalk and then sped away.

She told me she was too shook up to get his license plate. She also told me it was hard to believe there are people like that living in this valley. The person did not even have enough care or concern to stop to see if she was all right.

My conclusion to this is the person must be either on probation and therefore avoiding a probation violation, without a caring bone in his body to be responsible for hurting my friend, too afraid to be in trouble or driving without a license and/or insurance.

So I just want to say to this person, they know who they are, why don't you come forward and take responsibility for what you did? My friend has enough physical problems without hurting more now from your reckless driving.
