Allred would serve Idaho

I am writing in support of Keith Allred's bid for governor. I have known Keith for about six years. I first admired his work with the people in North Idaho who wanted to get the Aryan Nations out of their community. Keith also worked as a mediator between the Nez Perce Tribe and local towns, and earned the respect of both sides. He then trained elected officials who needed to develop skills and an open attitude toward working with the growing Latino community.

Keith and I have worked together on The Common Interest, a citizens group that works to put the needs of everyday Idahoans ahead of special interests. With his leadership, The Common Interest helped reduce property taxes for homeowners, fought huge fuel/registration tax increases proposed by Gov. Otter and tried to protect our right to vote in whatever primary we choose.

I was delighted to learn that Keith wanted to serve Idaho. Keith and Christine Allred are personable, well informed and care deeply about our state and its people. They are committed to good public policy that benefits all of us. Most importantly, Keith has a vision for Idaho—something we seriously lack.

Keith understands that quality education is our most important economic development tool. He knows how to grow our economy and put Idahoans back to work. And as a sportsman, he supports protection of Idaho's special places.

I'm pleased to support Keith Allred for governor.
