Donoval should run for mayor

Golly gee, Mr. Donoval—thank you for sending me a personal letter asking me to vote for you for state senator. I'd be sending a personal reply if I could find your address. Haven't you lived here long enough to get in the 2010 phone book?

I can agree with Mr. Maurice Charlat, who wrote that the length of your residency has no bearing on your long list of qualifications. But should you become one more Republican state senator when we already have more than enough, I don't think that over there in Boise they'll care a whit about hearing all the not-really-nice things you said about Mayor Randy Hall—a local matter, Mr. Donoval, not Senate stuff. There'll be plenty of time to fret and stew about that when Mayor Hall's name is on the ballot. Anyway, won't you be voting for Mayor of Just-Up-the-Road?

Not Ketchum? Hmmm, there's a thought—how about running for Mayor of Just-Up-the-Road?

With all due respect, Mr. Donoval, I'll be voting for Sen. Michelle Stennett. I'm confident she'll continue to serve us well.
