District 25 needs Republican reps

The 2011 Legislature will face some of huge economic challenges, in light of our state and nation's economic difficulties. During times like these, we need representatives for District 25 who have the educational, business and professional background to address these problems. Long gone are the days when we can afford to elect "nice, hard-working people" or allow "family" members to inherit these positions. We need tough, effective representatives who can work not just for Idaho, but also for District 25.

We cannot afford to continue to elect Democratic representatives who have virtually no say in the legislative process in predominately Republican Idaho. Furthermore, while some might wish for a change in the governor and greater Democratic representation, the cold, hard facts, given today's economic and political climate, are that Butch Otter will be re-elected and that the Legislature will remain overwhelmingly Republican.

We need to accept these facts and elect Jim Donoval for our District 25 senator and Alex Sutter as our District 25 House representative. Both have the needed business and professional background and, above all, both will be immediately accepted as peers by fellow elected representatives, unlike our current elected incumbent Rep. Donna Pence or our appointed Sen. Michelle Stennett, who are, sadly, all but ignored by the Republican majority.

Donoval and Sutter can provide the effective representation for District 25 that is current lacking from incumbents Pence and Stennett.
