Hailey fight leads to citations

Police investigating incident outside of bar

Two Blaine County men were issued misdemeanor citations for allegedly running from police investigating a fight last week in the parking lot behind the Hailey Hotel bar.

Hailey Assistant Police Chief Dave Stellers identified the men as Andrew Taylor-Winter, 22, of Hailey, and Victor M. Salinas-Silva, 24, of Gannett. Stellers said both were issued citations alleging resisting and obstructing police.

The incident occurred shortly after 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 28.

Stellers said police were investigating a fight between the two men when both ran away. They were apprehended about three blocks south.

He said officers pursued the men because "we're still investigating to determine if everybody's OK and if a crime has been committed."

"But when they run, they put my officers at risk and that's why they were cited."
