Police investigate home burglary

Unusual time disturbing to investigators

The Hailey Police Department is investigating a burglary early Friday evening at a home on East Ridge Drive in east Hailey.

Lt. Steve England said the burglary occurred sometime between 6:20 p.m. and 9:50 p.m. when the homeowners had left for a few hours.

"They went to dinner at a friend's house, got home and somebody had gone in through a window," England said. "How early it was in the evening was disturbing. There have been a few home burglaries this summer, but the others were at night when someone was out of town."

England said the window used to gain access was open and unlocked. Taken were a Wii game console and some jewelry.

"We canvassed the neighborhood that evening, but if anybody saw anything they're welcome to give us a call," he said.

Hailey police can be reached at 788-3531.
