A 54-year-old Idaho Falls woman was treated and released at St. Luke's Wood River Medical Center after being injured in a single-vehicle rollover Saturday afternoon on U.S. Highway 20 about five miles west of Picabo.

The Blaine County Sheriff's Office reported Monday that Shirley Meikle was eastbound in a gray 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue when she lost control of her car after passing another vehicle. The accident occurred shortly after 4:15 p.m.

Sheriff's Lt. Jay Davis said that after completing the pass, Meikle drove too far to the right and the vehicle tires hit the roadway shoulder. He said Meikle then overcorrected and the vehicle flipped and rolled, coming to rest on its top.

Davis said Meikle was wearing a seatbelt and only received a "minor knee injury and arm laceration."

She was transported to the hospital by Wood River Fire and Rescue ambulance.
