Beauty of Idaho in its residents

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to your community. My husband and I and our two children vacationed there in mid-August with both our parents. We had lovely days filled with fishing, bike rides, long walks, hiking and other outdoor activities.

My father, a diabetic, went for a walk one day and got carried away by the trails and beautiful scenery. He went into diabetic shock and took a bad fall on one of the trails between Hailey and Ketchum. A very kind woman found him and immediately called for help. The response was swift and he was treated by EMTs who took him to your local hospital where he received such wonderful treatment by the entire hospital staff, especially the ER doc.

On behalf of my entire family, I would like to thank all the wonderful people who helped my father on that day. Your compassion, quick thinking and professionalism ensured that my father survived that dreadful day. Although he was pretty beaten up, we all know it could have been much worse. Thanks to all of you, he is doing very well, though he has stopped the long walks.

It was our first trip to Idaho and we were told by many about the beauty of the area. After our experience, we know that the real beauty lies with its residents. You will always have a special place in our hearts.
