The Garden of Infinite Compassion celebrates five years at the Sawtooth Botanical Garden.

Celebrate with the Sawtooth Botanical Garden

The Sawtooth Botanical Garden will celebrate the dedication of its new Alpine and Montane gardens and the fifth anniversary of the Garden of Infinite Compassion today from 5-7 p.m. A dedication ceremony will take place at 6 p.m. Enjoy food, refreshments, free raffle prizes and live music. Picnic at the Howard Preserve

The Wood River Land Trust and Friends of Howard Preserve will host the seventh annual Howard Preserve Community Picnic in Bellevue on Saturday, Sept. 18, from 3-6 p.m. Bring a potluck side dish or dessert to share and enjoy Lava Lake lamb, Idaho trout, roast pork and morels. Take a ride at the Bike Ranch

The Idaho Smoky Mountain Lodge will have a free Open Range Day at its Bike Ranch on Saturday, Sept. 18, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Bring a helmet and bike and ride for free. The lodge is 28 miles northwest of Fairfield. For details, call (208) 720-6679 or visit www.idahobikeranch.com.

Understand the importance of a watershed

A short tour of watershed health in the Wood River Valley with Jon Marvel will take place on Saturday, Sept. 18, from 10 a.m. to noon. Meet at The Center, 314 S. Second Ave. in Hailey. The cost is $15 for Center members and $20 for nonmembers. For details, call 726-9491.
