Bob Griswold


Bob Griswold, loving father, beloved brother, good friend, gentle man, seeker of truth, amazing skier and athlete died Aug. 12, 2010.

Bob began his skiing career at Paradise on Mount Rainier as a rope tow boy. He moved on to Crystal Mountain and the ski patrol when it opened. As a young man, he and some good friends moved to the Ketchum-Sun Valley area where he was a member of the first K2 Demonstration Team and was a Sun Valley ski instructor for more than 20 years.

He is survived by his daughter, Katrin Griswold, of Princeton, N.J., and Syracuse, N.Y., his sister, Kathy Manke, and brother, Mike Griswold, of Tacoma, Wash., and his brother, Jim Griswold, of Vashon Island, Wash.

There will be a celebration of his life on Saturday, Sept. 18, in Ketchum-Sun Valley with details to follow.
