A 21-year-old Bellevue man was killed Sunday morning in a one-vehicle rollover accident in Muldoon Canyon.

The Blaine County Sheriff's Office identified the man as Tyrel H. Peak, who was a shooting victim of David L. Santistevan in 2004.

Another victim of Sunday's crash, 21-year-old Jesse C. Gelskey, of Hailey, remained in critical condition Tuesday at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.

According to the sheriff's office, Peak "succumbed to his injuries at the crash scene" two miles east of Bellevue. Gelskey, who suffered a head injury, was flown by emergency helicopter to Saint Alphonsus.

Also injured in the crash, according to the sheriff's office, were Kaysie M. Bruno, 27, of Nampa, who suffered a leg injury, and Douglas K. Beall, 21, of Bellevue, who suffered a shoulder injury. Both were transported by Wood River Fire and Rescue ambulance to St. Luke's Wood River Medical Center. Condition reports were not available on Bruno or Beall from St. Luke's on Tuesday.

The sheriff's office reported that the accident occurred about 7 a.m., when Peak, driving a white 2005 Chevrolet pickup, was westbound on Muldoon Canyon Road. The vehicle, for unknown reasons, left the roadway and rolled several times down an embankment, coming to rest on its wheels.

The sheriff's office reported that none of the occupants was wearing a seatbelt and that all four were ejected from the vehicle.

The accident remained under investigation Tuesday. The sheriff's office reported that "alcohol is believed to have been involved."

Peak was one of two teenagers shot by Santistevan, now 53, in Bellevue in March 2004. Convicted of two counts of second-degree attempted murder, Santistevan is currently serving a 35-year prison sentence.
