Party for a cause

Fundraiser and auction to benefit Waldorf school

By EXPRESS STAFF

Does a one-week stay at a vacation house in Mexico sound tempting? How about a new pair of Scott skis or a painting by valley artist Melissa Graves Brown?

Those are just some of the items on the long list of goods and services that will be up for auction as part of the first Mountain School Garden Party Auction & Fundraiser, a benefit for the Waldorf school near Bellevue. Funds raised from the party—scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 11, from 5-7 p.m. in the school's expansive organic garden—will go to the school's scholarship fund.

The party will feature valet parking, a full bar and numerous appetizers. At the party, silent and live auctions will offer a selection of specialty items.

In addition, the school is holding an online auction starting today, Sept. 3, and running through Sunday, Sept. 12. The selection of auction items can be seen at www.biddingforgood.com/auction/AuctionHome.action?auctionId=114853377. Interested parties in and outside of the Wood River Valley can bid online to benefit the nonprofit school.

The school is located at 100 Mustang Lane on the north side of Bellevue. Heading south on state Highway 75, turn right just before the Sun Valley Garden Center—the driveway is on the right at the bottom of the hill.

Tickets cost $50 per person. They can be purchased online or by phone. Call 309-1427 for details.
