School doesn't start in Blaine County until after Labor Day this year, but registration is already under way in the Blaine County School District.
Parents or guardians are being reminded that as in the past two years, proof of residency in Blaine County is required to enroll students in the school district. Proof needs to include two current utility bills, or written proof of utility service, and one of the following additional documents: a valid Idaho driver's license or state identification card, a property tax bill, a current lease agreement, a notarized affidavit from a current landlord or homeowner or an Idaho tax return showing a physical address in Blaine County.
School starts this year on Tuesday, Sept. 7, and ends on Friday, June 10, 2011.
Registration will be held at Bellevue Elementary School from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. starting Monday, Aug. 30, and running through Friday, Sept. 3. Call 578-5080 to schedule an appointment outside of that week.
Registration started at Hailey Elementary School on Monday, Aug. 16, and ends today from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Call 578-5070 if you missed it.
Hemingway Elementary School in Ketchum will hold registration from 9 a.m. to noon and from 1-2 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 24.
Registration will be held at Woodside Elementary School from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 23, through Friday, Sept. 3.
Carey School held registration on Monday, Aug. 16. Call 578-5040 or 823-4391 if you missed it.
Silver Creek High School held a first registration day on Tuesday, Aug. 17, and will hold a second from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 26.
Wood River Middle School will hold registration for sixth-graders on Wednesday, Aug. 25. Last names A-G can register from 9-10:30 a.m., H-M from 10:30-noon, N-R from 1-2:30 p.m. and S-Z from 2:30-4 p.m.
Seventh-graders register Thursday, Aug. 26, with A-L from 8-10 a.m. and M-Z from 10 a.m. to noon.
Eighth-graders also register Thursday, Aug. 26. Last names A-L register from 1-3 p.m. and M-Z from 3-5 p.m.
A make-up session for all grades will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 30.
Wood River High School will hold registration on Thursday, Aug. 26, with names A-E from 8-10 p.m., F-L from 10 a.m. to noon, M-S from 1-3 p.m. and T-Z from 3-5 p.m. An evening latecomer session will be held from 6-8 p.m.
