Ketchum Girl Recovering From Fall


Ketchum resident Antonia Avery, 8, shown here performing in the 2010 Sun Valley summer figure skating championships, is recovering well after falling off a second-story balcony in Ketchum on Aug. 1, her father Marc Avery reported this week. “We really want to thank our friends and all the families that have offered their support and prayers,” he said. “The Ketchum EMTs and emergency room staff at St. Luke’s were wonderful, as were the pediatric ward and the Emergency Intensive Care Unit in Boise.” The girl was life-flighted to a Boise hospital after the fall. Avery said he expects his daughter to be released and to come home later this week.
