Response to play wasn’t yelling

In the name of fair and accurate reporting, please correct your article titled "Play draws heat. Tempers flare over 'My name is Rachel Corrie' after Tuesday performance."

Your reporter stated that "a man immediately stood up and started yelling, accusing the young woman the play is based on of being a flag burner and a member of the militant Palestinian group, Hamas, among other things."

I was the man who stood up after being called upon, and contrary to yelling, I was shouted down and unable to ask my question that was scripted in advance and partially delivered in a clear and moderated voice until interrupted. More than a dozen in attendance had copies of my question in advance.

My question in full was: How do you feel about the widely held belief that your daughter has been raised to martyrdom and exploited by the pro-Palestinian/anti-Israel propaganda machine financed by Arab money and by fellow travelers here in America, a few of which live here in our valley, who advocate a one-state solution, which means demographically the destruction of the state of Israel. And at the same time would you please define exactly the human rights that your daughter was willing to die for and do they include: gay rights, women's rights, religious rights, free speech, democracy, ban of female mutilation and stoning, none of which exist anywhere in the Arab world?
