At a time when donations are tough to gather, the Sagebrush Equine Training Center for the Handicapped, SETCH, found plenty of supporters for its 19th annual Cowboy Ball on Thursday, July 8, at the Sagebrush Arena near Hailey.

Hundreds of guests gathered in the riding arena, which was transformed into the Cowboy Ball with chic dining tables, an extensive silent auction, an exciting live auction emceed by Pete Prekeges and fun live music by the Kim Stocking Band. Delicious food prepared by David Fox of Silver Fox Catering and Brent Barsotti was accompanied by wines from S&C Importers.

The riding arena is one of the facilities used at SETCH for a variety of equine-assisted activities provided to more than 300 children and adults faced with physical, mental or emotional disabilities. Proceeds from the Cowboy Ball go to SETCH, whose programs are used by individuals and groups. In addition to buying auction items, attendees could adopt one of SETCH's horses used for therapy or give "star" donations for numerous equipment needs, from rope to pick-up trucks.

Executive Director Kristy Pigeon said she was pleased with the turnout of attendees and the fact that the event was only four tables down from last year's.
