Airport board seeks applicants

Filings due by Friday, July 30

The Friedman Memorial Airport Authority is calling for interested residents to apply for the "independent member" seat on the airport governing body, whose term expired June 30.

The unpaid position is for a two-year term.

Ron Fairfax, a pilot and aircraft owner, currently holds the seat and has said he would reapply.

Application forms may be obtained by phone from Lisa Emerick at 788-4956 or by e-mail at lisa@flyfma.com. Resumés must be submitted by Friday, July 30.

Three candidates will be selected for interviews by four airport authority members.

Qualifications include a business background, knowledge of the aviation industry and Friedman's history, being a full-time resident of Blaine County, commitment to two two-year terms, attendance at 90 percent of airport authority meetings and agreement to relocating Friedman.
