Shop disturbance leads to arrest

A 24-year-old Ketchum man was arrested early Wednesday morning on a charge of aggravated battery following a disturbance at the New York Hero House sandwich shop on Main Street in Ketchum.

A news release from Ketchum Police Chief Steve Harkins identified the suspect as Stephen R. Franco. He was transported to the Blaine County jail.

Harkins reported that Franco is accused of hitting shop owner Steve Albanese over the head with a chair while Albanese was trying to break up a fight.

The incident occurred around 2 a.m.
