Sun Valley Opera to present 'MIZ Saigon' at SV Pavilion
Sun Valley Opera will present "MIZ Saigon" featuring songs from "Miss Saigon" and "Les Miserables" at the Sun Valley Pavilion on Sunday, July 11, at 8 p.m. The show will feature tenor Dennis McNeil and singer Shawna Masuda, who has performed the lead role in "Les Miserables." A 25-piece orchestra will accompany the "MIZ Saigon" cast, which also includes soprano Ani Maldjian, baritone Jason Detwiler, tenor Isaac Hurtado and a chorus of 60 singers with music director Brett Strader. Save the date for the festival
More than 115 artists and craft makers will be exhibiting at the 11th annual Ketchum Arts Festival on Friday, July 9, and Saturday, July 10, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, July 11, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Ketchum Arts Fair is free to attendees and will take place in Festival Meadow on Sun Valley Road. In addition, the fair will feature live music every day with several valley musicians. This year an added attraction will be the Paul Tillotson Trio at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Center to hold art installation with artist appearance
Internationally known artist Patrick Dougherty is constructing a large-scale temporary installation on the site of the future home of the Sun Valley Center for the Arts at the corner of Second Avenue and Fourth Street in Ketchum. Dougherty will speak about the project at a free public talk on Wednesday, July 14, at The Center in Ketchum. The talk will begin at 5:30 p.m.
