Shoppers need more choice

I hope when you take a poll of people who would use a grocery store other than Atkinsons', you don't forget that there are a lot of people who come from a great distance to shop. Many of us come from as far away as Stanley. I can tell you that I continue on down to Hailey to go to Albertsons for most of my grocery shopping.

To buy toilet paper and dishwasher soap at Atkinsons' is just too expensive. I love Atkinsons' for special things, like meat and vegetables, but for the day-to-day shopping, it is too rich for my blood.

I do not believe that having a second store in Ketchum would cause harm to Atkinsons'. It may cause them to look at lowering prices for essentials to draw people like me into the store. We are really a captive audience in Ketchum and it would sure be nice to have more choice.
