Betty June (Broadie) Watson of Hailey, Idaho, passed away peacefully at her home on June 26, 2010.
Betty was born June 5, 1929, in Gannett, Idaho, at her grandparents home on Baseline Road. She grew up and attended schools in Gannett and Hailey and graduated from Hailey High School in 1947. On Jan. 15, 1948, she married Michael "Rex" Watson and together they had three children—Charlotte, Clistie and Michael.
Mom's greatest joy in life was her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Mom was also a people person who had many friends who loved her. She loved her work as a nail technician at the Sun Valley Salon where she worked for several years until her retirement in 2006. Clients would come from as far away as New York to have her do their nails.
Betty is survived by her husband, Rex; her daughter Charlotte (Dean), and son, Michael (Hether); her grandchildren, Sean (Tara), Angelia (Jessie) Tierney and Sidney; her great-grandchildren, Kacey, Madalyn, Alexandria, Tristan, Kirk, Ryan, Justin, Kaden and Bentley; her sister, Louise, and brother, Jerry (Kathy). She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Clistie, her granddaughter Shannon and her grandson Tyler.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 30, at the Hailey LDS Chapel. Interment will be at the Hailey Cemetery.
