Ketchum's Sam Young captured the Pro Men's 23-mile race while Pocatello pro Zephanie Blasi won by nearly nine minutes over Rebecca Rusch of Ketchum in Saturday's Soldier Mountain mountain bike cross-country race.
There were 70 racers finishing the Knobby Tire Series event on high-speed rolling double track and tight, technical sagebrush single track north of Fairfield. Broken Spoke Cycling organized the licensed two-wheel race.
Courses measured 23 miles for the Pro Men and Women and Category 1/Single Speed racers; 16 miles for Category 2; and 10 miles for Category 3 and Juniors on the trail layout.
