Lefty's Bar & Grill 12, Casino 9
Like fine wine have the Carpet Sharks finally aged to perfection? And if and when they lose does it turn into a fine whine? Trailing 3-1 in the fourth, Lefty's scored four runs, including a leadoff homer by Buff Rixon (3 hits, 2 runs), followed by six more hits. Nicole Buchwalter's (4-for-4) 3-run blast was part of a six-run surge in the fifth, which offset five runs by the Casbah in the bottom of the frame, when Nic Nottingham and Ann Briston ripped triples and Craig Morse belted a homerun to trail 10-8. Lefty's tacked on two more runs to one by the Casino to hold on to the win. Lefty's (23 hits): Dave Hausmann 3 hits. Anthony Anderson & Kyle Rushton 2 hits, 2 runs each. Kathy Seal 2 hits, 2 runs.
