Summer is here and live music is aplenty Live music

The summer season has finally arrived and live music accompanies it. This week, Whiskey Jacques' will feature live music on Friday, June 19, with Irish rock band Swagger from Park City, Utah. In addition, Whiskey's will feature another Utah band, The Codi Jordan Band, on Saturday, June 20. The Codi Jordan Band is a very energetic reggae rock band. All music at Whiskey's begins at 10 p.m. and there will be a $5 cover charge both nights.

Papa Hemi's Hideaway in Ketchum has the fire pit lit and lots of outdoor dining for music lovers to hear Rick Hoel this evening and Aaron Davis on Friday, June 19, and Bart Budwig and Friends on Saturday, June 19. All music is free from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at the Hideaway.

Enjoy dining and the soulful sounds of duo Allan Pennay and Cheryl Morell at Cosi, the purple cabin in Trail Creek Village, off Main Street in Ketchum. Pennay and Morell play jazz favorites every Friday from 5:30-8 p.m. throughout the summer. More live music will take place on Friday, June 25, at the Silver Dollar in Bellevue at 9 p.m. with Wood River Valley's Hoodwink.

The Hailey Farmers' and Artists' markets will feature lots of music talent throughout the summer including Rebecca Fox on Thursday, June 17, from 2:30-6:30 p.m. and on Tuesday, June 22, the Ketchum Farmers' and Artists' markets will have live music by The Shims. All farmers' and artists' market music is free to the public.

On Father's Day, Sunday, June 20, enjoy brunch prepared by Chef Don Shepler at Galena Lodge while listening to the folk sounds of Bruce Innes from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Galena Lodge is 23 miles north of Ketchum off state Highway 75.

Look forward to more live music with the beginning of the Back Alley Party in Hailey on Wednesday, June 23, with the band 812 from 6-9:30 p.m.
