Former councilwoman Nan Emerick dies

Served city of Ketchum in 1990s

Former Ketchum City Council member Nan Emerick died Monday, June 14.

Emerick was appointed to the City Council in November 1993. She was later elected to a four-year term but resigned in May 1998 to move to Hailey. She also served on the Ketchum Historic Preservation Commission, starting in 2004.

She worked as a real estate broker and owner of Sun Valley Executive Services.

In 2005, Emerick ran for City Council again but was not elected.

Services will be held Saturday, June 19, at 10 a.m. at the Presbyterian Church of the Big Wood, 100 Saddle Road in Ketchum.
