Tickets on sale Tuesday for Don Felder concert

Thompson Memorial fundraiser

It was such a success last year that musician Don Felder is returning to the Sun Valley Pavilion Wednesday, Aug. 18 in another "An Evening at Hotel California" benefit concert for leukemia and cancer research.

Felder was one of the original five band members and lead guitarist of The Eagles for 27 years. A multi-Grammy-award winner and member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Felder will perform a special benefit concert during the 34th annual Danny Thompson Memorial golf tournament week.

Tickets go on sale Tuesday, June 15 at seats.sunvalley.com or through the Sun Valley Recreation Center at 622-2135.  Premium seating includes a VIP cocktail party with Felder prior to the concert and are limited in number.

Felder's benefit concert is sponsored in part by US Bank.

Proceeds from the concert will benefit the St. Luke's Mountain State Tumor Institute and University of Minnesota Cancer Research.

Last year, Felder performed a Thompson Memorial kickoff concert to over 1,300 delighted fans at the newly opened Sun Valley Pavilion. Afterwards, Thompson Memorial President and Director Georgie Fenton of Ketchum was approached by many who had seen the concert and asked if he would return for an encore in 2010.
