The second annual Sun Valley Acoustic Music Weekend on Friday, June 11, and Saturday, June 12, will bring back a familiar and exciting band—the Dhuks from Canada, who will rock the pavilion rain or shine. In addition, solo performers will include Justin Guarini, who was runner-up to Kelly Clarkson on the Fox singing competition "American Idol."

Also joining the festival will be 23-year-old Zee Avi, whose influences include Cat Power, Regina Spektor, Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits, Jolie Holland, Daniel Johnston and Chris Garneau as well as jazz greats Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald and rock classics like the Velvet Underground and Led Zeppelin.

Another solo performer known especially to Wood River Valley folks will be Molly Venter. Venter is a classic storyteller and captivating performer who enchants everyone who comes to see her. Think Joni Mitchell and Patty Griffin but with a lot more punch.

Finally the festival welcomes the singing and musical talents of the Peruvian duo Alejandro & Maria Laura. Best known for their performances throughout the valley this past year, this couple is more than adorable—they are dedicated to being serious artists.

Tickets are $25 for Friday and $45 for Saturday. Tickets for both nights are $60. Tickets can be purchased at the Sun Valley Recreation Center box office by calling (888) 622-2108 or for online at seats.sunvalley.com. Show starts at 6 p.m. Friday and 4 p.m. Saturday.
