F&G to hold fish feed

The Idaho Department of Fish and Game will host the spring Magic Valley Sportsmen's Fish Fry, Chips and Tips at its Jerome regional office on Thursday, May 27, at 5:30 p.m.

While people are eating fish, hushpuppies, fries and coleslaw, they'll be able to speak with Fish and Game experts on the different types of fishing available in the Magic Valley Region.

The office is at 324 South 417 East, Highway 93 Business Park in Jerome. For more information, call (208) 324-4359.

Rec District to spray trail

The Blaine County Recreation District will spray herbicides along the Wood River Trail to control noxious weeds (knapweed, Dalmatian toadflax, thistle, puncture vine and koccia) in the early mornings of Monday through Friday, May 24-28. The project will be rescheduled if unfavorable weather conditions occur such as wind or rain.

Areas being sprayed will be identified with signs. The chemical being used smells and the odor lingers for days. People should keep pets out of sprayed areas until the odor is gone. The Wood River Trail will not be closed; signs will be posted with treatment dates.

For more information contact Eric Rector at 578-2273 or erector@bcrd.org.
