Burdick is the choice

Idaho voters will have an opportunity to re-elect an outstanding Supreme Court justice on May 25. Roger Burdick has been a wise and accomplished magistrate judge, district judge, state water court judge and Supreme Court justice. He will continue to serve the people well if re-elected.

I became acquainted with Roger Burdick when he was a district judge. We served together as members of the Idaho Judicial Council, where Roger quickly became a valuable contributing member of the council with a substantial depth of knowledge on a wide variety of legal issues, both civil and criminal. He is an honest person, a man of his word, and a fair and impartial decider of cases.

During his three years on the state's water court, Roger developed a reputation as a fair-minded judge who was able to competently decide complex water issues in accordance with Idaho's constitutional and statutory water law. This knowledge and experience will serve Idaho well as contentious water issues continue to arise in the future.

For judicial temperament, experience, competence and common sense, the voters simply can't do any better than Roger Burdick. As a part-time resident of the Wood River Valley, I understand how important sound judicial decisions are to Blaine County people. I urge voters to go to the polls on May 25 and re-elect Justice Burdick for another term.
